Science is published by the American Association for the Advancement of Science and is one of the top peer-reviewed journals in the world. It publishes original research across all scientific disciplines, along with news, commentary, and policy analysis. The news section covers developments in research, science policy, and the scientific community, and is written in a style that is accessible to non-specialists. The journal has been published since 1880 and has a long history of publishing landmark studies.

Access to full research articles requires a subscription or institutional access, but much of the news and commentary is free. The website also offers podcasts, videos, and newsletters. For anyone who follows science, it is a key source for understanding both the latest research and the context around it.
