Overview
Swagbucks is a well-known cashback and rewards website where you can earn cash by searching, completing surveys or tasks, watching videos, and more. Founded in 2008, Swagbucks is one of the most popular GPT (Get Paid To) sites and has a strong reputation for reliability.

Swagbucks rewards are called Swag Bucks, or SB for short. When cashing out, the exchange rate is 1 SB = $0.01 — meaning 100 SB equals $1, which is very reasonable.
Sometimes, redeeming for VGC or gift cards comes with a discount, so 100 SB can actually be worth more than $1.

How to Use Swagbucks
Here are 10 ways to earn on Swagbucks. You don't need to use all of them — just pick the ones that interest you the most.
1. Complete Offers
This is the most common category on Swagbucks. There are often great deals where you can earn rewards or even turn a profit. In short, you complete tasks like registrations, free trials, or making purchases, and you receive SB in return.
Swagbucks also partners with various companies that frequently offer excellent cashback and reward deals.
2. Shopping Cashback
Like other cashback sites, Swagbucks has its own shopping portal. By visiting stores through the portal, you earn cashback in the form of SB.
If you already use other cashback sites, it's a good idea to compare rates before shopping — Swagbucks often surprises with higher cashback rates.
Swagbucks also offers a browser extension called Swagbutton (click here to download). When you visit a supported store, the extension notifies you of available cashback and rates. Simply click "Activate" to enable cashback — no need to visit the Swagbucks site first. It's a convenient way to never miss out on cashback.
3. Upload Receipts (Magic Receipt)
Similar to Fetch Rewards or Ibotta, Swagbucks lets you earn cashback by uploading shopping receipts. There are two types:
- Buy any item in a category (e.g., any milk, any apples) for small rewards.
- Buy specific items for higher cashback — sometimes enough to cover the purchase cost. These offers are common and can get you lots of free products.
Remember to add items to your shopping list before purchasing and upload your receipt afterward.
4. Swagbucks Search Engine
Swagbucks search is powered by Yahoo. When you search, you'll occasionally receive random SB rewards. Each reward may be small, but if you use it consistently throughout the day, the SB can add up.
On average, each search gives at least 4 SB, usually around 6–8 SB. Occasionally, certain keywords can earn you 100 SB — that's $1 per search.
5. Print Coupons
Swagbucks partners with Coupons.com. By printing coupons through Swagbucks, you save money on purchases while also earning SB.
6. Take Surveys
Taking surveys is one of the most straightforward ways to earn SB.
7. Watch Videos
Earnings from watching videos are modest — typically you get 1–2 SB for watching 6 videos. Most videos cover trending topics, recipes, promotions, etc. Some people enjoy this, but most probably don't have time to sit through videos.
You can also watch on the Swagbucks mobile app — it runs in the background and you can earn an extra 50 SB daily.
8. Daily Poll
This is basically a quick daily check-in. You answer one multiple-choice question per day — it takes just a second and earns you 1 SB.
9. Play Games
This is a fun way to earn SB. You can earn by spending money in games (18 SB per $1) or by playing Swagbucks' own games for free.
10. Redeem Swag Codes
Swagbucks occasionally posts Swagcodes on social media or their blog. Each code is worth 2–3 SB. Just enter the code and click redeem.
At times, Swagbucks has released many high-value codes in a single day, letting you earn 20–30 SB easily. Be sure to follow their official social media accounts.
Withdrawal Options
Swagbucks supports various withdrawal methods, including PayPal, Amazon Gift Cards, Visa Gift Cards, and gift cards for many other retailers.
