Twitch is the leading live streaming platform for gamers, originally launched as Justin.tv and later acquired by Amazon. It allows streamers to broadcast gameplay, commentary, creative work, and IRL (in real life) content to live audiences. Viewers interact through chat, subscriptions, donations, and channel points. Twitch has become a cultural hub for gaming communities, esports, speedrunning, and content creation, with top streamers reaching millions of followers.

For developers, Twitch offers an extensive API and Extensions system that allows interactive experiences directly on stream. The platform also supports categories beyond gaming, including music, art, cooking, and educational content. Twitch's influence on live entertainment and community building has made it a key platform for creators seeking real-time engagement with their audiences. It remains the dominant destination for live gaming and interactive streaming worldwide.
