In recent years, .COM domain prices have been increasing annually. Some friends have asked me which registrars are better for domain registration.When choosing a domain registrar, the first thing to consider is not price, but whether the service provider is secure. We should choose registrars that are accredited and have a solid reputation, and only then compare pricing.
NameCheap
NameCheap (official website) is an established overseas domain registrar with over 20 years of history. In its early days, Namecheap operated as a reseller for a domain registry, but now it serves a much larger user base. I prefer this registrar because they frequently offer promotions for new registrations and domain transfers. However, their renewal prices are relatively high, so when it's time to renew, I usually transfer my domains to other registrars.
NameSilo
NameSilo (official website) is a registrar I used quite a bit in previous years, mainly because they offer free WHOIS privacy protection — back when most other registrars charged for it. This registrar also keeps new registration and renewal prices fairly consistent without much fluctuation, so if you prefer stable pricing, NameSilo is a solid choice. However, the trade-off is that they rarely offer promotional discounts for either new registrations or renewals.
GName
GName (official website) is a registrar I've been paying attention to and using in recent years, mainly because it makes new domain registrations and domain trading more convenient. If you have domains you want to sell, this platform allows for relatively quick transactions. It's also a good option if you need to backorder domains.
These three registrars are my go-to overseas domain service providers.
